Welcome to the AMA Football and Cheer program! AMA Football and Cheer teams consist of boys and girls in the area of the Highway 4 corridor from Copperopolis, Angels Camp, Murphys and Arnold areas. Boys and girls from the ages of 7 to 14 are eligible to play. Our Football and Cheer Staff are run by 100% volunteers who emphasize fundamentals, teamwork, safety and sportsmanship.
AMA Football and Cheer generally practice three days a week from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Copello Park, 700 Copello Drive, in Angels Camp. Our season begins July 31st and runs through the middle of November. We travel to locations around the Mother Lode and AMA is affiliated with the Foothill Youth Football League.
Football application deadline is August 3rd, 2020. Late applications may be accepted upon approval of Football Director.
Registration Fee: $150 – The registration fee covers the cost of insurance, facilities, officials, uniforms, equipment, administration, and other associated costs. The football gear consists of a bag, helmet, game jersey and pants, practice jersey and pants, AMA t-shirt, all pads, mouth piece, socks, belt and other associated gear. Football players will be able to keep their game jerseys, AMA t-shirt and socks. If any gear is not turned in at the end of the season, the player is financially responsible for its replacement at full and current cost to AMA.
Cheer application deadline is June 20th, 2020. Late applications may be accepted upon approval of Football Commissioner.

The cheer gear consists of a bag, skirt & shell, spanks & undershirt, socks & shoes, bow, AMA sweatshirt, pom-poms, and other associated gear. Cheerleaders will be able to keep this entire package.
